We built a fort based on some great principals shown in the Tree Fort Book listed here on this site. We added a trap door, rope ladder, fire pole, (2) operable windows a door and the whole thing is over 14′ off the ground. I used scaffolding to frame the tree during construction, I cant imagine the project by ladder only.
